Where can I find SPD clipless pedals and shoes to order online?

Question by Lincoln13: Where can I find SPD clipless pedals and shoes to order online?
I am actually just looking for some cycling clipless pedals and shoes for my new road bike. I will mostly ride shorter distances (<40 km). I have done some research and decided that SPD would be better than look for me. I am worried about buying shoes that won't fit the pedals. Is there anything I should know about certain brands that just won't fit together or anything? When it is advertised that the shoes will "are compatible with most SPD pedals" or something like that, what do they mean "most"? This sounds kind of dumb, but I am just being really careful. My budget is really low right now, so cheaper is better. I'd appreciate any thoughts!

Since the clips come with the pedals, you needn’t worry. The big choice you have it to decide whether you want road shoes or mountain shoes. If you are buying these for strictly road biking and wont be using them between bikes, then a road shoe is in order; they have a flat bottom and you have to walk on your heels when off the bike. Mountain shoes have treads and the cleats are recessed a bit.

performace bike.com great pedals low price, they have “performance brand” that are excellent knock offs of all the high end pedals. Don’t worry the cleats come with the pedals all you need to know is are your shoes compatable and almost all shoes are compatable with SPD, the only time you need to worry is if you are getting “look” style pedals, some shoes “shimano mostly” are not drilled for the look style cleat. But I would venture to say 99.9% of bike shoes are SPD compatable.
The shoes you want will say either “SPD” or “2-bolt.” The alternative that you don’t want is “Look” or “3-bolt.” Some shoes will do both systems (they have 5 holes).
