@dahgutone yep friend recently bought ultegra 6700′s also. was deciding btwn those and keos i think. nice thing about new keo 2 max and 6700′s is the piece of stainless steel (or whatever it is) that reduces wear from the cleat rubbing against pedal. Otherwise I’ve been riding these sprints for a while now in the rain and sun and have had 0 problems whatsoever.
Bought them a year ago. 1500km and still running strong on the same cleats.
As for sprinting, very nice.
Lighter than the aluminum Shimano pedals for sure.
Recently bought the Ultegra 6700s. Haven’t used them yet but the platform is alot wider.
After seeing the Keo 2 Max….I want them haha
I mean they are wider and lighter. xD
ebay, and luckily i got a good deal on it. you can probably find cheap keo classics online that ship to your area for under $65…
from what I’ve read when I was deciding betwn classics and sprints is that the classics are a little cheaper and a bit heavier. if you’re not worried about weight, i’d imagine there’s very little noticeable differences. Might take a while to learn how to clip in efficiently, but once you do, it’s a pretty solid engagement and smooth pedaling. good luck!
not really. i started with mtbk clipless from shimano, but the platform was not that wide, so i decided to switch to road pedals for better power transfer. keos are actually surprising easy to snap in and they stay secure even when climbing.
ar thar hard to ride in Clipless ??
